Colour, rule of thirds and lines

Recently at college I walked around the college campus with a camera and took photographs that included specific photographic techniques. For example, we had to use techniques such as the use of positive and negative space, the use of different types of lines, colour and the rule of thirds.

The image on the left demonstrates the techniques of colour and the rule of thirds. This is because the green and blue contrast with each other therefore both colours stand out.

Next, the right image presents the use of organic lines as the none of the lines are going the same direction.

Then the middle image shows the use of the rule of thirds. This is due to the fact that it is centred in the frame.
