David Carson

David Carson was born on the 8th September, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is an American graphic designer, art director and surfer, and is best known for his innovative magazine design and his use of experimental typography. He was the art director for the magazine Ray Gun, that debuted in 1992, which made him best known for his typographic and layout style, especially his ‘grunge typography’ era.


Stefan Sagmeister

Stefan Sagmeister was born on the 6th August, 1962 in Bregenz, Austria. He is a New York based graphic designer and typographer who co founded a design firm called Sagmeister & Walsh Inc. with Jessica Walsh in New York City. He has also designed album covers for Lou Reed, OK Go, The Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Jay Z, Aerosmith and Pat Metheny.


Neville Brody

Neville Brody was born on the 23rd April, 1957 in  Southgate, London, England. He is an alumnus of the London College of Communication and Hornsey College of Art and is known for his work on The Face magazine (1981–1986) and Arena magazine (1987–1990).


The Designers Republic

The Designers Republic is a graphic design studio based in Sheffield, England, founded in 1986 by Ian Anderson and Nick Phillips. It is best known for electronic music logos and album artwork and their anti establishment aesthetics.
